Asia Direct
You have searched the internet, found a Shenzhen (China) based factory that will supply the bags for $0.38US the bag seems similar and even converted to Aussie dollars sounds too good, none of the Australian companies come close, why not buy direct??
Offshore factory quotes are often legitimate, but sometimes things get lost in translation, I personally would like a dollar for every “I’ve been let down by the factory” phone call I have taken.
In most cases a deposit is required often 50% and then the balance on faxed Bill of Lading, here’s where the problems start especially if you don’t know what a “Bill of Lading” is!
Shipping costs, PCP, LoLo, APC, Document fees, Terminal handling charges, Customs clearance and Australian duties all await you then local delivery is often overlooked, you can’t just pop down to the wharf and pick this up. These aren’t hidden charges the offshore supplier is not responsible, these are borne by you or your company.
So you get the bags, unpack them all and find something wrong…with all of them…you contact the factory they deny any knowledge of the error in production or print but you have paid for it in full and have no recourse, they won’t refund any monies paid, sometimes a really willing factory will agree to reproduce the bags, but you will still have all of the other charges to manage.
Yes our factories are offshore, but we are an Australian owned and run company we are recognised suppliers to Australia’s Defence Forces, in the industry for almost 40 years, we are here, accountable and will make good any issues that arise.
This is our promise and is backed by 40 years of service to our customers.
